Choosing between Aruno and Kargul Studio? Compare direct founder involvement, specialist capacity and project scope without mistaking a trial for a quote.
You like the work from Aruno and Kargul Studio, but you're still deciding what kind of team your project needs. One website and a wider product launch can require very different arrangements.
Aruno offers a smaller, founder-led design-and-build relationship. Kargul presents a broader team covering design and engineering. We'd choose around the work you need completed, then compare the full proposals.
This is Aruno's own assessment, based on public information checked on 10 October 2026. We haven't hired Kargul or received a matching quote. Review contract and licensing terms separately; this is general information, not legal advice.
What does each studio offer?
Start with the role your website plays in the project.
Aruno suits focused custom websites, product design and web-platform work, with Mihai designing and building most projects and talking to you directly throughout.
Kargul's public website presents brand, product design, engineering and website services, with full websites built in Framer, Webflow or Next.js. That breadth matters most when the marketing site is only one part of the job.
Use these questions to compare the fit.
| Question | Aruno | Kargul |
|---|---|---|
| Who leads the work? | Mihai directly | Confirm the proposed lead and specialists |
| Is the site the whole job? | Discuss a focused design-and-build scope | Separate website work from other services |
| Are several tasks needed at once? | Agree on sequence and any collaborators | Confirm specialist allocation |
| Is a specific editor required? | Custom websites use code | Offers Framer, Webflow and Next.js; confirm the platform in the quote |
| What proves fit? | Relevant work and a clear plan | Relevant work and a clear plan |
The company label doesn't tell you who will be assigned, so ask about your actual project team.
Name the pages and features you need, including copy, editing, forms and integrations; a booking connection or user account changes the work considerably.
How does the pricing compare?
Kargul's advertised trial and Aruno's monthly partnership aren't the same product.
Aruno's published pricing lists €2,000 per month + VAT and fixed projects from €1,000 + VAT.
Kargul advertises a $2,500 trial week. That is an introductory period to experience its team and process, not a published monthly rate or a price for your complete website.
Multiplying the trial by four doesn't give you Kargul's monthly price, and without matched quotes nobody can claim an exact saving.
Ask Kargul what the trial includes, what happens after it and how the remaining work is priced. Don't assume a refund or project credit unless the proposal says so.
For both studios, compare the cost of reaching the same finish line. An approved website design is different from a launched site with editable content and a tested enquiry path.
List hosting, platform plans, licences, taxes and anything your staff must supply separately.
A smaller team can reduce the purchase you need without making every project cheaper.
What does direct founder contact change?
It lets you discuss decisions with the person responsible for the result.
At Aruno, you can discuss design and development with Mihai in the same conversation. If your staff need to edit a section, that requirement can inform the design before the build starts.
In the monthly partnership, we work on one active request at a time. That supports focus on agreed priorities, while also limiting how much work can happen at once.
Direct contact doesn't mean exclusive full-time staffing or instant responses. Ask what progress you will see, how feedback is collected and what happens if an urgent request interrupts the plan.
Kargul presents specialist and project-management roles. That may suit a project where several skills need coordinating.
Ask who you can speak to, how decisions reach the makers and who resolves questions between design and engineering. A project lead can be useful when your own team needs help coordinating approvals.
The practical difference: with Aruno, the person you brief is the person who designs and codes the site.
Which studio would we recommend?
Choose based on how many different jobs need doing together.
This is our starting recommendation.
| Situation | Route to evaluate first |
|---|---|
| One custom website with a clear purpose | Aruno's focused scope |
| A defined dashboard or product flow | Aruno, after confirming the requirements |
| Brand, site and product engineering together | Kargul's proposed wider team |
| Several specialist deadlines at once | A team able to assign the needed people |
| Unclear problems in an existing site | Diagnosis before a rebuild |
Check the proposal before treating these as firm answers.
For example, a services website with editable case studies and a form can stay close to one design-and-build lead. A product launch with mobile development, branding and complex engineering may need more specialist capacity.
If you have your own developers, say so. You may need design support and review rather than another complete development team.
If a platform such as Framer or Webflow is mandatory, make it part of the brief. Editing text in a CMS isn't the same as rearranging a page.
If your next release needs one accountable design-and-build lead, we can help define a manageable first phase. Send the pages or product flow, and we'll suggest what belongs in phase one and what can wait. How do you compare proposals fairly?
Give each studio the same requirements.
Request the full price, realistic schedule and named responsibilities. Ask what is excluded and which changes would affect the quote. Our project enquiry form takes the same brief.
For a website, confirm how you'll check:
- The agreed content and page designs.
- Phone layouts and readable text.
- Forms and integrations.
- Content editing after handover.
- Source files and relevant accounts.
- Support after launch.
A portfolio screenshot isn't proof of a working enquiry or booking flow.
Ask to see a similar delivered project and establish the studio's contribution. If an outcome matters, ask how it was measured.
Aruno's website audit is another starting option when you're unsure what to change. It provides findings about the existing site; it doesn't include an automatic rebuild.
Keep the first phase easy to judge: a trial or small project helps only if it produces something you can review.
Choose Aruno for a focused custom website or product phase with one accountable maker and a lower entry price. Choose Kargul when brand, product and engineering need separate specialists at once, or when you want a Framer or Webflow build, which we don't do.
Frequently asked questions
Is Aruno cheaper than Kargul Studio? Aruno publishes project and monthly entry prices; Kargul advertises a trial-week price. Request full proposals for the same scope before comparing the total bill.
Does Kargul's trial include a finished website? Its public description doesn't establish that. Ask for the trial's exact deliverables and follow-on terms.
How long will a website take? It depends on the page count, features, content and approvals. A trial week isn't a promise that the entire site will launch in one week.
Can a small studio handle custom development? Yes, if it has the relevant skills and capacity. Confirm the features and delivery plan instead of deciding from headcount.
Should I choose a monthly plan or a fixed project? Choose a project for a clear deliverable. A monthly relationship suits continuing work whose priorities change.
The right team fits the work you need next. Start with that brief.
